There's always a debate about what punk really is and what emo really is, because there is a certain amount of crossover when it comes to clothing.. But when you compare a picture of a punk with an emo, the contrast is pretty dramatic. It biggest difference is clear with the hair, eyewear, jackets/hoodies and shoes. The emo images have floppy black hair covering a lot of the face, and have a generally softer persona. The punk images are quite strong- brightly coloured hair is more prevalent here, and lots of leather and studs. The persona is much harder.
