The Quiet Life at The Alternative Store

Though life is always far from quiet at The Alternative Store, one of our fave new streetwear brands is The Quiet Life (note: you know when a play on words seems like a good idea, but actually isn't? Yeaaaah...)

The Quiet Life is a small project from Los Angeles that is run by Andy Mueller and Jennifer Pitt. The Quiet Life have a habit of bringing out classy T-shirts such as the Joy Division-inspired Joy tee (pictured above) and their trademark apparel offers a stylish alternative to many other identikit streetwear brands.

The Aloha tee features a distinctive photographic design by Sam Smyth and is just the kind of eyecatching apparel that makes The Quiet Life such a hot brand.

Along with apparel, The Quiet Life also do a fine line in caps, such as the Painted Lines Starter Cap (above).

Similar in style to the Aloha tee, The Quiet Life 'The End' Black Tee also features a detailed photographic print designed by Andrew Neuheus.

Crooks and Castles Clothing at The Alternative Store

Here at The Alternative Store, we're all about cutting edge streetwear brands. A firm favourite at The Alternative Store HQ for a while now is Crooks and Castles, whose mission statement is reason enough to check them out.

Those who stopped at nothing to get their “Castle”. We too hope one day to be the next rich crook." Can't argue with that...

New Iron Fist Clothing now arriving at The Alternative Store

Regular visitors to our site and this blog will know that we love Iron Fist. Their shoes and apparel are always top-sellers at The Alternative Store, and we're always excited to see their new mens and womens clothing lines. We're dedicating this blog post to some of our favourite new items of mens clothing at The Alternative Store.

Iron Fist is by no means an ordinary clothing line, its artwork and styling have set it apart from many of its streetwear counterparts. Refusing to be pigeonholed into a skate, punk, hip-hop or tattoo genre, Iron Fist has grown from strength to strength purely because of its diversity and constantly innovative approach to each season.

First up, we have the Aberdeen Flannel Shirt. A new twist on the classic long-sleeve flannel shirt, this Chilli-Red and Black shirt is a great addition to the Iron Fist lineup. We also have a sneaky suspicion that this grunge-inspired item was named after the town where rock icon Kurt Cobain grew up (but we might be reading too much into it.) We're always impressed when a brand comes out with a tee inspired by a horror icon, and the Number 13 Tee fits the bill perfectly. It's a fantastic departure for IF and an exciting glimpse of where the company is at.
