Rebel 8 at The Alternative Store!

We've been following the Rebel8 Brand for some time, and now it's arrived at The Alternative Store.

Founded in 2003, REBEL8 is a San Francisco streetwear company with deep roots in skateboard, graffiti, and tattoo cultures. Joshy D. and Mike Giant met in the late 1990's in San Francisco's then bustling graffiti scene. Josh ran the popular graffiti website, HiFiArt, and Mike was one of the city's most notorious writers. Years later, and having had some experience with a previous clothing venture, Josh approached Mike about creating a handful of t-shirt graphics. Mike agreed, and a small batch of shirts was made. Josh sold those shirts out of a messenger bag around the city, and REBEL8 was born.
Today, Joshy D. runs the business and Mike Giant sees to the art as REBEL8 finds itself growing in many creative directions at once. Now an internationally recognizable brand, REBEL8 is still committed to the communities from which it comes, and strives to reinforce its unique lifestyle with every product.
Every REBEL8 graphic by Mike Giant is hand-illustrated. Unlike most clothing graphics, which are created by digitizing the original artwork into vector format, Mike's graphics are exact reproductions of his original art. No part of the original inked line is compromised in this process, lending an edge of authenticity seldom seen in today's mass-produced market.

The first items that we secured earlier this year were the anticipated collaboration between Rebel8 Clothing and legendary workwear brand Dickies. After some persistent chasing we're now stocking a great range of items from the Rebel8 range. We've got t-shirts, hoods, jackets and hats, all with the trademark styling that has made Rebel8 one of the hottest brands on the planet. This ultra-limited selection is a little taster of what's to come in early 2011 when our next wave of Rebel8 is due to drop... Can you tell we're excited?!
Emo Punk Clothing
Emo Punk Clothes at the Alternative Store
Emo-Punk clothing is an awesome combination of emo style and punk attitude. Some clothing features a bit of each, but some people use a combination of both to create their own unique look.
Check out the different brands on our website including Iron Fist and Criminal Damage, who create clothing which is perfect for an emo-punk look.
The two styles are very different; the emo fashion is very subdued, understated but still unique. The punk fashion is strong, powerful and dominating. Combining the two creates a stunning visual - an impressive mixture of bright colour, submissive persona and strong style.
Choose your ideal union of emo and punk clothing here at the Alternative Store!

Snow has fallen... but the Alternative Store is open...
Sheffield may be one of the worst hit areas of the UK in this current spate of snowfall, but we've braved the snow and ice to get into work to continue with all the orders that have been coming in.
We're operating on a skeleton staff basis today, so we'll be getting orders out as soon as is humanly possible. Due to the impact of the weather on our postal system, there wasn't a pickup yesterday but we're expecting one today. If you've got orders you're expecting, please do bear with us and we'll get stuff out to you as soon as possible.
